Description: The project is directed at empowering women elected to local power, developing gender sensitivity of deputies and specialists in District Councils of Mariupol city to intensify work on considering women’s needs, ensuring gender equality in decisions and actions. It is planned to conduct education for deputies and employees of 4 district councils on gender expertise of draft documents and resolutions, to create «Deputy’s Directory on Gender Expertise of Draft Resolutions», to discuss importance of this work at the round table with participation of the leadership of Mariupol City Council and the region’s mass media.

Description: The project is directed at raising the level of involvement of female representatives of civil society and female deputies of local councils of Lutsk, Kovel, Volodymyr-Volynskiy and Novovolynsk in decision-making and in political life at local and national level, which will have to change social stereotypes concerning women’s participation in political processes and national development. The results will be achieved through conducting interactive education for the project participants, round tables with participation of male public officials, deputies and local community activists with further coverage in mass media and dissemination of informational and promotional materials.

The method of the project implementation supposes its further independent existence after the funding ends, as well as dissemination of materials prepared under the project to other regions of Ukraine.
