FIRST STEP TO SUCCESS - 2008
First Step to Success MINI GRANTS PROGRAM
Training on planning and writing projects
On October 24, 2008 training on project planning and writing was conducted for the winners of First Step to Success-2008 in the premises of the Center for Family of Darnytskiy district.
The main goal of the training was to give knowledge on methodology of elaborating and descripting projects, to form initial skills of developping projects, to support girsl in their strive to solve problems of their communities.
During the work the girls got acquainted with the UWF's mini-grants program, received practical advice concerning filling in the application form and formulating the basic theses. This information turned out to be very important for all the participants. They more clearly understood their tasks and became more confident in own ability to change something.
The girls outlined a wide scope of problems they strive to solve: insufficient level of educational and cultural development of rural children and youth, low level of children's awareness of Ukrainian history and culture, socialization of people with limited abilities, increasing the number of HIV/AIDS cases in Ukraine, providing support to single parents, etc.
We hope that provided grants will help the participants not only to make changes in lives of their communities they describe in the projects, but to receive the important experience of project management and cooperation with other NGOs.
We wish success to all participants in writing and implementing of their projects!
